Batman: Arkham Asylum comes out in two weeks, and after playing the recently-released Xbox demo, I couldn’t be more excited. It plays great, looks great, has great atmosphere, and really seems like one of those games you could play all night long completely immersed in its world. A super-nice bonus touch is getting Mark Hamill (Joker) and Kevin Conroy (Batman) to reprise their voice roles from the Animated Series!
The demo both looks and feels a lot like Bioshock set in the Batman universe. Sign me up.
Has there ever been a good Batman game? I mean, I played the first NES Batman game a lot, but I wouldn’t exactly call it a masterpiece. Everything since then seems to have been various shades of suck. This one looks to turn all of that around… 2 weeks…

Aug 11, 2009I got to play the demo at Jon and Suzy’s house and i thought it was awesome too! I hope there’s more of the “sneaking/detective” elements to it, I thought that stuff was really cool. Game seems t have potential to be really creepy as well.
And to answer your question…I really liked Lego Batman…does that count?

Aug 11, 2009I think Lego Batman counts as a serious Batman game only if you’re under the age of ten. :D
